Lisa Porter was born and raised in Wisconsin, and attended Northwestern University and has been singing professionally since she was 15. Over her 40 year residence on Maui, Lisa Porter's roles have been many and varied. She has been delighting audiences and garnering rave reviews in the local papers (" …magnificent voice…" The Haleakala Times, "… velvety contralto always a delight…" the Maui News) for her great comic timing and beautiful voice. She was for many years a soloist for the Maui Symphony Orchestra, and has gotten more standing ovations than she can count at the Iao Theater, The Castle Theater and McCoy Theater at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center and any other theater that has existed here over the years.

She began performing for weddings in 1996 and has been in over 3,000 weddings, either singing and playing harp or guitar, or officiating (she is an ordained minister).

She is very happy to announce she has a new harp, Songbird, which is a top of the line Triplett Harp, the best harp makers in America. This beautiful instrument has a Highlander pick up and a Bose sound system that that can plug into any sound system.
